The seventh volume of the series L'opera italiana nei territori boemi durante il Settecento contains the papers of the L'opera come un evento festivo conference, held in Český Krumlov in September 2021 as part of the Festival of Baroque Arts on the occasion of the performance of Antonio Draghi's serenata L'oblighi dell'Universo, originally staged in 1680 to celebrate the birthday of Emperor Leopold I at Pardubice Castle. The volume includes contributions by scholars from Italy (Paologiovanni Maione, Lorenzo Mattei), Germany (Karl Böhmer, Wolfgang Hochstein, Gesa zur Nieden), Austria (Elisabeth Hilscher, Konstantin Hirschmann, Jürgen Maehder) and the Czech Republic (Stanislav Bohadlo, Milada Jonášová, Tomislav Volek), each examining the theme of solemnity within the context of court and municipal theatres in Europe.
