Overview of Central European Fungi, 2nd edition

The atlas presents the diversity and richness of large fungi in Central Europe. The core number of 1,206 described taxa is supplemented by more than 800 additional taxa in the notes. The number of species makes the book one of the most comprehensive mycological reference works in Europe. The general chapters cover the external and internal structure of fungi, their ecology, threats and protection, discuss their nomenclature, toxins, colours, tastes and smells, and give practical advice on identifying and collecting mushrooms and using them in the kitchen.
