Pharmacies with the Star of David in the times of Shoah

The book deals with the fate of Jewish owners of pharmacies and pharmacists in Czechoslovakia in the years 1938–1945. It describes their professional and social positions before the World War II and follows their lives during the Shoah with regard to the different political situations in different parts of the defunct state. The author also gives an account of the fates of several scientists and entrepreneurs in the pharmaceutical industry. A more detailed explanation is devoted to the lives of selected victims and survivors, if the surviving testimonies allow it. At the end of the book, the author deals with the situation of the survivors.
